Thanks Giving 🙏
Hello friends!
I hope you're enjoying this Serial Maker newsletter! If you missed any of the past editions, make sure to check them out. And if you know someone who might benefit from this newsletter, please forward this email to a friend. 😀
As I write this on Thanksgiving, I'm thinking about all the blessings in life that provide me the opportunity to build the things I love to make. Being a maker is a privilege that we often take for granted.
This issue is all about giving thanks 🙏
TLDR
I'm lucky to have an incredible support network
We live in one of the greatest times in history to be a maker
Give back to the maker community
Thank you to all my supporters!
If you've ever put something out in the world, you know the level of vulnerability and anxiety that goes along with it. Opening yourself up to criticism and failure is nothing to laugh at. Having a network of family, friends, and coworkers who vigorously support my efforts has made this immensely easier. If you're reading this, that includes you. Thank you.
This is also why I make sure to like, share, and join in the conversation around anyone in my network who is brave enough to release their own project in public. I know how much this means to me, and try to return the favor. A simple upvote or constructive feedback goes a long way.
What a time to be a maker!
The tools and distribution networks available to digital makers has never been greater. Anyone with an idea has a path to get that out into the world. Between software tools, vast amounts of open source libraries, crowd-generated knowledge bases, social media networks, no-code solutions, crowd-funding, and crowd-sourcing, you can rapidly launch a project with minimal resources, and get it in front of an enormous potential market.
Give back!
If you have the privilege of being able to work in the digital maker space, you're miles ahead of a large portion of the world's population. There are lots of ways to help others with lesser opportunities.

Happy Thanksgiving, and thanks for reading! 🙌
Hit reply to tell me what you're making. I'm looking for anyone interested in talking about their own side-projects and maker journey, so speak up if you'd like to appear in Serial Maker. I'd also love to know what you thought of this issue, and what you want to hear about in the future.
Until next week,
Craig
